Expanded PTFE tape is 100% pure teflon products, non-toxic, non-polluting to the media it contacts, and will not age, good chemical stability, high environmental protection, especially suitable for food, pharmaceutical and high purity product lines.
Expanded PTFE tape is highly compressible and can easily fill the cavities and grooves on the sealing surface and plug the interface leaks, and has the property of rebounding and expanding when it receives tension, so the higher the internal medium pressure, the greater the sealing force.
It is easy to install and use, just cut a piece of Expanded PTFE tape of any length, as long as the two ends intersect and overlap, it can form a closed circle of any size and shape, even if the short tape can still be used to seal the large diameter sealing surface, installation and molding is particularly convenient. When using clean sealing surface, select a certain width of sealing tape, tear off the adhesive tape protection paper, the sealing tape sticky pressure on the outer edge of the sealing surface, the two ends at a bolt cross over each other, beyond the intersection of the remaining 2cm or more (Note: in the plane flange, the two ends must be cross over. Expanded PTFE tape is very soft, can be flexed at will, can fully fill the irregular sealing surface, can reduce the processing accuracy of the sealing surface, and make some parts and equipment ready to be scrapped due to sealing surface corrosion, scouring, wear and tear can continue to use, especially for emergency repair.
